Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop ist eine dedizierte Grafikkarte der Blackwell-Familie für Laptops, die Team Green im Juni 2025 vorgestellt wurde. Sie nutzt den GB207 Chip.

Die GPU bietet wie die RTX 4050 Laptop GPU 2.560 Unified Shader (CUDA Kerne) kombiniert mit einem 128-Bit Speicherbus für 8 GB GDDR7 Grafikspeicher. Je nach TGP und Kühlung kann der Boost-Takt von 1500 - 2662 MHz liegen.

Zu den weiteren Merkmalen der GPU gehören native 5. Generation Raytracing Kerne, PCIe 5 Unterstützung, DisplayPort 2.1a und 440 TOPS AI Performance (durch die verbauten Tensor Kerne).

Die Performance ohne DLSS Frame Generation sollte ähnlich zur alten RTX 4060 Laptop GPU sein. Die ist RTX 5060 ist bei 115 W (inkl Dynamic Boost) 21 - 22% schneller in 3DMark Tests (via Videocardz). Wie üblich ist die Leistung stark vom Stromverbrauch (TGP) und Kühlung abhängig. Daher wird es auch deutlich langsamere Modelle in Laptops geben.

Der Chip wird bei TSMC im 4nm Prozess (4N) produziert. Der Stromverbrauch (TGP) ist mit 35-100 Watt spezifiziert (115 Watt inkl Dynamic Boost 2.0).

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop ist eine High-End-Grafikkarte für Notebooks, die auf der CES 2025 vorgestellt wurde und im April 2025 in den Handel kam.

Architektur

Die GeForce RTX 5080 Mobile nutzt den Blackwell GB203 Chip und verwendet 8.192 der 10.752 Kerne des Chips. Im Vergleich zu den ähnlich benannten Desktop-Chips ist er damit näher an der Desktop RTX 5070 (6.144 Kerne) als an der ähnlich benannten Desktop RTX 5080 (10.752 Kerne). Der Speicherbus ist jedoch wie bei der Desktop RTX 5080 ein 256 Bit Bus für 16 GB GDDR7.

Als Neuheit bietet Blackwell dank der 5. Generation von Tensor-Kernen Unterstützung für Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) mit DLSS4.

Performance

Die durchschnittliche theoretische Leistung der Laptop RTX 5080 ist ähnlich wie die der Desktop RTX 5070 und der älteren RTX 4090 Laptop GPU (Time Spy GPU). In Spielen (z.B. Doom: The Dark Ages) liegt die Leistung ebenfalls auf dem Niveau der alten RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, obwohl die RTX 5080 die bereits erwähnte MFG-Option für beeindruckende Bildraten unterstützt. Die Latenz wird jedoch durch Mit freundlichen Grüßen nicht verringert, wodurch man von mindestens 60 fps ohne Frame Generation starten sollte.

Stromverbrauch

Die GB203 wird bei TSMC im 4N-FinFET-Prozess (Custom 4NP 5nm) gefertigt. Der maximale TGP der Karte kann 150 Watt erreichen (125 Watt + 25 Watt Dynamic Boost).

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop

Die Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop (5060 Mobile / 5060 LT) ist eine mobile Grafikkarte der Blackwell-Familie für Laptops, die Team Green im April 2025 vorgestellt hat und im Mai verfügbar wurde. Sie basiert auf den GB206 Chip und bietet 3328 Shader / CUDA Kerne, 104 Tensor Kerne und 26 Raytracingeinheiten. Die 8 GB GDDR8 Grafikspeicher werden per 128 Bit Speicherbus angebunden.

Die Leistung ist wie immer abhängig von der Kühlung und dem maximalen Stromverbrauch (TGP) der RTX 5060 LT. In synthetischen Benchmarks kann sich die neue Karte knapp vor der alten RTX 4070 Laptop GPU setzen. In unseren Spieltests ist die mobile RTX 4070 jedoch noch leicht schneller. Dadurch empfiehlt sich die GPU für QHD Gaming mit maximalen Settings und DLSS bzw leicht reduzierten Detailstufe bei anspruchsvollen Spielen (wie z.b. F1 25).

Zu den weiteren Merkmalen der GPU gehören native PCIe 5 Unterstützung, DisplayPort 2.1a, DirectX 12_2 Ultimate und Support für DLSS4 und Reflex 2.

Der Chip kann von 45 bis 100 Watt TGP konfiguriert werden und dementsprechend unterschiedlich takten. Mit 45 Watt TGP taktet die GP z.b. von 952 - 1455 MHz, bei vollen 100 Watt mit 1950 - 2310 MHz.

Der Chip wird im 5nm Prozess bei TSMC (4N FinFET) produziert.
