The AMD Radeon HD 8670D is a processor graphics card in the desktop Richland APUs from AMD. It is the fastest model of its family based on the VLIW4 architecture of the Radeon HD 6900 desktop series and is featured only in the A10 series (e.g. A10-6800K). The 8670D offers a 44 MHz faster core clock (+5.5%) compared to the older Trinity based 7660D, but is otherwise technically identical. The graphics card features no dedicated graphics memory and thus depends on the speed and size of the system memory with support up to DDR3-2133.
The performance of the Radeon HD 8670D differs depending on the benchmark. In synthetic benchmarks like 3DMark 11, final scores suggest better gaming performance when in practice the frame rates are slightly lower. Most notably, it has a clear advantage over the Haswell GT2 desktop processor graphics card (HD Graphics 4600) as of mid 2013. Demanding games like Crysis 3 are therefore only playable in low details and resolutions (see below).
The integrated UVD3 video decoder (Avivo HD) allows full decoding of Multi-View Codec (MVC), MPEG-4 Part 2 (DivX, xVid), MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and Adobe Flash HD videos.
The shader cores of the chip can also be used for general computing via OpenCL and DirectCompute 11.

The AMD Radeon HD 8570D is a processor graphics card in the desktop Richland A8 series of APUs from AMD (e.g. A8-6600K). It is the second fastest model of its family and is based on the VLIW4 architecture of the Radeon HD 6900 desktop series. Compared to the faster HD 8670D, the 8570D features much less shader cores (384 vs. 256 cores). The graphics card features no dedicated graphics memory and thus depends on the speed and size of the system memory.
The performance of the Radeon HD 8570D differs depending on the benchmark. In synthetic benchmarks like 3DMark 11, final scores suggest better gaming performance when in practice the frame rates are slightly lower. In our gaming tests the HD 8570D was similar to the fastest Trinity desktop model, the Radeon HD 7660D, which features more shader cores at lower clock speeds. Demanding games like Crysis 3 are therefore only playable in low details and resolutions (see below).
